Rules

Art. 1 -The courses will take place in Sulmona (AQ) from 26 July to 2 August at the headquarters of the Ateneo Internazionale della Lirica, Vico dei Sardi, 9, 67039 Sulmona AQ.

Art. 2 – Singers of all nationalities, regardless of age, professional musicians, students of conservatories or equalized musical institutes, as well as graduates from Italian or foreign institutions can participate in the course.

Art. 3 – During the period of the courses, students will have the opportunity to participate in one or more concerts organized by the course management to allow young singers to check their work.

Art. 4 – Each student will have the opportunity to receive 5 lessons of Lyric Singing and optionally follow the Course of Scenic Art and Italian Vocal Music. As for the Lyric Singing Course, all enrolled students will participate in individual and group lessons in vocal technique, study of the opera and chamber repertoire, breathing techniques, psychological study of the character, use of the body and movement, interpretation of the sung word and recited. Particular attention will be paid to resolving states of tension, stress or anxiety in order to better address auditions, competitions and public performances. The Scenic Art Course (4 meetings) will mainly focus on the preparation of the Opera Amalia and Carlo by Pietro Carlo Guglielmi presented in conference by Prof. Barbara Salani. The Italian Vocal Music Course (3 meetings) will be aimed at the study and interpretation of the immense chamber vocal production of the major Italian opera players between the 19th and 20th centuries (Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, Verdi Puccini, Leoncavallo, Mascagni etc) and the major composers of chamber romances (Tosti, Denza, Tirindelli, Rotoli etc.).

Art. 5 – Each student participating in the courses will be able to present themselves with a free program and study new repertoire during the course.

Art. 6 – A maximum number of 10 students will be admitted to the courses. In case of requests exceeding availability, the teachers will reserve the right to audition on the first day of the course. Students not admitted will be able to participate in the course as auditors.

Art. 7 – Applications must be sent no later than July 10 2022 by paying a non-refundable registration fee of € 80.00.

Art. 8  – After paying the registration fee, fill in the application form for the course.

Art. 9 – At the start of the courses, each participant will pay the attendance fee of € 500.00. In the event of non-participation or in the event that the registration does not comply with the regulations, the organization is not required to reimburse the registration fee. Any out-of-term registrations can be accepted at the sole discretion of the organizers.

Art. 10 – Participation in the course is also permitted as auditors: the relative registration fee of € 80.00 will be valid as a participation fee for the course.

Art. 11 – Photographic services, audio or video recordings do not entail rights to compensation for the participants.

Art. 12 – Musicfor International and Ateneo della Lirica will not be responsible in any way for any damage that the objects owned by the participants may suffer during the course of the lessons, neither before nor after the activity itself.

Art. 13 – The application form is valid for acceptance of this regulation and, pursuant to Law 675/96, as authorization for the processing of personal data for communication and selection needs.

Art. 14 – For any disputes, the court of jurisdiction is the court of Sulmona.
